Founded in 1944, The World Bank Group is a family international aid organizations with a collaborative mission to reduce poverty around the world. Not a bank in the common sense, The Word Bank provides low-interest loans, interest-free credits and grants to developing countries for a wide array of purposes that include investments in education, health, public administration, infrastructure, financial and private sector development, agriculture and environmental and natural resource management. Headquartered in Washington, DC., the World Bank has over 10,000 employees in more than 100 offices worldwide.
